Fall of Varrock

Automatic Tournament

From the Fall of Varrock Wiki - A scheduled 1v1 bracket. Enter with one command, fight knockout rounds in private arena pits wearing a standardized kit, and take the coin purse if you outlast everyone. Nothing you own is ever at risk.

The Automatic Tournament is the server's scheduled knockout bracket: a broadcast goes out, the

brave type ::tournament, and a field of fighters is cut down round by round until one champion

takes the purse. It's pure PvP on a level field - everyone fights in the same kit, at their own

real stats, and nothing anyone owns is ever at risk.

How it runs

  1. Signup opens - announced server-wide on a regular schedule. Type ::tournament from any safe zone to enter; you're teleported to the arena lobby while the field forms.
  2. The bracket begins - entrants are shuffled and paired. An odd fighter out draws a bye straight into the next round.
  3. Every match is a real duel - each pair is teleported into their **own private copy of the arena pit (all matches of a round run at once), dressed in the standard tournament kit** - the NH tribrid set: whip, mage and range switches, claws spec, brews and veng runes. A 3... 2... 1... countdown, then it's live. No outside interference, no teleporting out, no holding hands with the fog - just the two of you.
  4. Losing - die, log out, or hold less health when a stalled match times out - knocks you out of the bracket: your own gear is returned instantly and you're sent back to where you signed up. Winners return to the lobby for the next round.
  5. The champion takes a coin purse that scales with the field - the more who enter, the fatter the prize.

The level playing field

  • Same kit for everyone. Your bank buys you nothing here; the tournament hands both fighters the identical loadout. Wins come from switches, spec timing and nerve.
  • Your real levels. Unlike LMS there's no stat standardization - a maxed main hits like one.
  • Zero risk. Your own inventory and equipment are stashed before each match and restored the moment it ends - win, lose, disconnect, even a server crash mid-fight restores your gear on your next login. The loaner kit can't be kept, banked or traded.

Odds and ends

  • Minimum 2 entrants, capped at 32 - if too few sign up, the tournament is called off.
  • Wander into the wilderness or into other content between rounds and you're withdrawn - the bracket won't teleport you out of a fight you started elsewhere.
  • The purse pays to your inventory, overflowing to your bank.
