Fall of Varrock

Welcome to the Kingdom

From the Fall of Varrock Wiki - What kind of server this is, what makes it different, and where to go first.

Fall of Varrock is an OSRS-based server (revision 228) built around one big idea: the world is at war, and everything you do feeds it. Lumbridge is the last free city — your home, your market, and the seat of the crown. Every other city is held by the enemy, and taking them back is the endgame.

The three pillars

  • The War — the server's core loop. Raid enemy-held cities, summon and kill their bosses, and fight alongside allied troops commanded by high-ranking players. Loot from a campaign is pooled and split by how much you personally contributed. See The War explained.
  • PK everywhere it counts — the wilderness runs on loot keys, roads are patrolled by hostile highwaymen, and PK bots give you real fights even at low population. See PvP & Wilderness.
  • Skilling that matters — gathering and production skills fill the realm's supply meter, which gates when war campaigns can launch. Your mining isn't just XP; it's ammunition. See Skilling & the war effort.

Your first session

1. Log in — you spawn in Lumbridge with a starter kit.

2. Walk the castle courtyard market — every shop you need is centralized there.

3. Open the teleport portal at home to see everywhere you can go: cities, bosses, wilderness, skilling spots.

4. Talk to people in the Kingdom — titles here are earned through the war, and ranked players (Lords, Ministers, the King) command real troops.

How progression works here

There's no membership paywall on content. Progression is driven by:

  • Combat & gear — most gear comes from monster drops (every NPC uses its real OSRS drop table), the courtyard shops, and war loot.
  • Unlocks — some power is locked behind deeds, not gold. The Ancient, Lunar and Arceuus spellbooks, for example, only unlock after you clear the Wizard Tower minigame. See Unlocking the magic books.
  • Titles — political rank (earned through war contribution) gates access to elite vendors, troop command, and a cut of campaign spoils. See Titles & citizenship.

Useful commands

  • ::spellbook — switch spellbooks (once unlocked)
  • ::arena — enter the Fight Cave wave minigame
  • ::lootkeys — check your wilderness loot keys
  • ::claimvote — claim vote rewards
