Bonds & membership
Bonds are the bridge between the store and the in-game economy — bought with real money on the site, tradeable to other players for gold, and redeemable for membership or Donor Points. They're how a player who never spends real money can still earn membership with gp.
The bond lifecycle
1. A player buys a bond on the website; it's delivered in-game as a tradeable item.
2. Tradeable bonds move player-to-player freely — sell one for gold, buy one with gold.
3. To use one, right-click → Redeem. You'll be asked to confirm, because claiming is permanent: the bond becomes untradeable and can never be traded again.
4. Take the untradeable bond to the Bond Merchant in the Lumbridge market (or use ::bonds) and choose:
- 30 days of membership, or
- 450 Donor Points
Rules that keep bonds fair
- No shop will ever buy or sell bonds — not the Trading Post, not the general store. They move only between players, so their gp price is set purely by the market.
- Bonds can't be alched — no shortcut to minting gold from them.
- Redemptions are logged.
Membership
Membership comes in tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond — via the store or bond redemption (bonds grant Bronze). Time stacks: redeeming while active extends your expiry. Perks include the companion auto-loot toggle, Discord roles via account linking, and the growing donor perk set listed on the store page.
The design intent, stated plainly: membership is a convenience-and-cosmetics lane, not a power lane. Gear, spellbooks and titles are earned in the war like everyone else.
