Fall of Varrock

PK bots of the wilderness

From the Fall of Varrock Wiki - Fake-player fighters roam the entire wilderness — gear tier scales with depth, and Fallen Varrock crawls with them.

Even at low population you'll always find a fight. PK bots are fake players — real gear, real stats, real combat brains (they eat, pot, switch and spec) — that roam the wilderness. They live only in PvP zones: step across the wilderness line and you're hunted; stay in a safe town and they can't touch you.

Deeper is deadlier

The whole custom wilderness is seeded with wandering PKers. A bot's gear tier is decided by the wilderness level where it spawned — the same number you see on your screen:

Wilderness levelGear tier
1–6Bronze / Iron
7–12Steel / Black
13–20Mithril / Adamant
21–30Rune, plus budget mage / range / Dharok's variants
31–44Elite bridders (Bandos, Ancestral, Masori...)
45+Elite, heavy NH — the scariest fights in the game

The elite bots run real archetypes: NH bridders with AGS→gmaul spec rotations, Ice Barrage freezers, Blood Barrage healers, Dharok's low-HP gamblers, claw-spec bridders. Deep wilderness is genuinely dangerous.

Fallen Varrock — the rogues' den

Fallen Varrock is the loot hub of the realm, and the PKers know it. On top of the usual wilderness wanderers, a dedicated pack of bots prowls the city streets (mithril-to-rune tier at Varrock's depth). Between them, the street monsters and other players, banking your loot there is never a formality.

The Lumbridge goblin camp

There's one bot that breaks the wilderness-only rule. A lone low-level PKer (combat 52, "Bandit" kit) prowls the goblin camp east of Lumbridge, where a handful of Knights of Lumbridge are locked in an endless brawl with the camp goblins. Unlike the wilderness bots, this one will ambush you on safe ground — a taste of the fight for new players who've never crossed the line. It's a single, weak bot: kill it for its kit, or leave it to the knights. The whole scene only appears while a player is nearby.

What they're worth

  • Kill a bot and it drops its entire equipped kit. In the wilderness that seals into a loot key for you, same as a player kill.
  • Bots don't pay Blood Money and don't count toward your PK stats or Elo — they're loot and practice, not ladder points.
  • They fight back properly, chase hard, and killing you destroys your loot keys like any other death.

Safe zones are absolute for the wilderness bots: they never muster, roam or chase onto a safe tile — banks inside the wilderness (and the Varrock bank pockets) are protected ground. The lone Lumbridge goblin-camp ambusher above is the one deliberate exception.
