Fall of Varrock

Blast Furnace

From the Fall of Varrock Wiki - Keldagrim's Blast Furnace - ore on the belt, bars from the dispenser, half the coal of a normal furnace, and a coffer that pays the dwarves.

The Blast Furnace works as it does on an OSRS "official" world: the dwarves keep the stove,

the pump and the pedals going, and you pay the coffer. The teleport portal's Mini-Games tab

lands you in the furnace room, by the Foreman.

How it works

  1. Pay the coffer — Use the coffer (or Pay the Foreman). Minimum deposit 25,000 coins; the furnace draws 1,200 coins a minute (72,000 an hour) while your ore is in the machine. Everyone pays. Withdraw what's left whenever you like.
  2. Put ore on the belt — pick the ore, and all of it goes on with the coal it needs, taken from your pack or your coal bag. The machine holds 28 ores and 254 coal of yours at once. Coal here is half a normal furnace: steel 1, mithril 2, adamant 3, rune 4. Iron never fails.
  3. Take the bars — the dwarves turn one bar every couple of seconds. Bars are hot: wear ice gloves (or smiths gloves) to take them straight out, or carry a bucket of water for each dispenser-load; bare hands get burned. The dispenser holds 28 bars of a type.
  4. Bank at the chest and go again. ::bf shows your coffer, belt and dispenser.

The coal bag holds 27 coal (Fill / Empty / Check). Ore left on the belt when you log out is

sent to your bank.

The war

Keldagrim's steel is the reason Asgarnia's artillery can be rebuilt: The Guns of Asgarnia

runs its first trial order here, on Keldagrim's account.
