Wintertodt
The Wintertodt is exactly the OSRS fight. Rounds run back to back: the storm rises, the
four braziers must burn, and the beast's energy falls while they do. Between rounds the
pyromancers rest for a minute.
How it works
- Enter the Doors of Dinh (50 Firemaking). Crates by the door lend an axe, a knife, a hammer, a tinderbox and unfinished rejuvenation potions if you forgot yours.
- Chop bruma roots (any axe you can use). Optionally fletch them with a knife into kindling for more points and XP.
- Light your corner's brazier (tinderbox, 25 points), then feed it: roots 10 points, kindling 25. Firemaking XP scales with your level.
- The Wintertodt fights back: cold seeps into everyone north of the doors, snowfall marks a patch and strikes it, braziers blow out or shatter (fix with a hammer, 25 points, Construction XP) and pyromancers get frozen. Pick a bruma herb, mix it into an unfinished potion and use it on a downed pyromancer to revive them (30 points).
- Warm clothing (pyromancer pieces, warm gloves, bruma torch, fire/infernal cape, Santa gear...) cuts every cold hit, and so do more lit braziers.
Dying inside is safe. Leaving through the doors resets your points.
Rewards
When the Wintertodt is subdued, everyone inside gets Firemaking XP (100 × level) and a
supply crate per 500 points (with a proportional chance of one more). Each crate holds
three rolls of supplies — logs, ores, herbs, seeds, fish, gems, essence, bones — plus a shot
at the burnt page (1/45), the pyromancer outfit pieces, warm gloves and the
bruma torch (1/150 each), an empty tome of fire (1/1000) and the phoenix pet
(1/5000). Your subdued count and best score are kept. ::wt shows the round's state.
