Fall of Varrock

Vorkath

From the Fall of Varrock Wiki - The undead dragon of Ungael - a solo instanced fight with dodge mechanics, acid phases and dragon-tier loot.

Vorkath is the first boss of the rebuilt roster — an undead blue dragon fought **solo in

your own instance* on the island of Ungael. It is a fight about reading attacks and moving*,

not just gear: two of its attacks must be dodged on foot, and its special phases punish

standing still.

Getting there

Open the teleport portal → Bosses → Vorkath. You land on Ungael's surface; **climb over the

icy spines** to enter your private arena. Inside, Vorkath lies asleep in the crater —

Poke it when you're ready. Nobody else can enter your instance, and dying inside is a

safe death (you keep your items and wake up back home).

The fight

Vorkath cycles six regular attacks, then a special, alternating between its two specials.

Regular attacks — protect against Missiles or Magic and watch for these:

  • Melee slash when you stand next to it — range from a distance to avoid it entirely.
  • Ranged spike and magic blast — moderate hits; overhead prayers block them.
  • Dragonfire, venom and pink dragonfire breath — dragonfire mitigation applies (antifire potion + dragonfire shield/ward, or Protect from Magic). The venom breath can envenom you; the pink breath strips your overhead prayers — re-activate fast.
  • The high fireball — Vorkath rears and launches a skull-fireball at your tile. **Move at least two tiles** before it lands or take up to 60 typeless damage.

Special 1 — Zombified spawn (ice). An icy barrage freezes you in place and Vorkath

becomes immune to all damage. A zombified spawn crawls toward you — kill it before it

reaches you (it has almost no defence and dies to anything) or it detonates for up to 60.

Special 2 — Acid phase. Vorkath floods the arena with acid pools and becomes

half-damage resistant, then spits 25 rapid fireballs — each aimed at the tile you're

standing on, and each misses entirely if you keep moving (walk one tile side to side).

Standing in acid chips your health and heals Vorkath — stay off the green.

Loot

Every kill drops 2 superior dragon bones plus a solid coin/supply roll (wrath runes,

enchanted bolts, noted resources). The chase drops, all Collection Log entries:

DropRarity
Vorkath's head1/50
Dragonbone necklace1/300
Jar of decay1/500
Skeletal visage1/500
Vorki (pet)1/1000

Kills count toward ::kc. After a kill, a fresh Vorkath

rises in the same instance — chain kills without re-entering.
